I’m Santana
I’m a Colorado native with a passion for filmmaking and photography. I’ve been a professional independent photographer — specializing in portraits, weddings, and creative landscapes — for 4 years. What I love most about what I do is that it allows me to capture the raw beauty and intangible emotions from a single fleeting moment and turn it into something physical that can be cherished forever.
Outside of Photography
When I’m not shooting, I’m almost certainly adventuring deep in the mountains — camping with friends, backpacking and exploring all across this beautiful state. I’m a big whiskey guy, an even bigger Denver Broncos fan and a huge gamer (a proud support main in Marvel Rivals currently). My home consists of two dogs: a chocolate lab named Opie and a pitsky named Saylor, plus two incredibly needy cats, Ellie (yes, like from The Last of Us) and Oliver.
“capturing as it was”
Preserving precious moments in real time as authentically as possible in order to tell an entire story through the simple, unscripted emotions and candid exchanges that truly capture your love and celebration — fleeting glances, heartfelt tears and subtle touches — so that you can relive your day’s most cherished moments exactly as they were, unfiltered and genuine, forever.
Capturing Authenticity
Seeking to capture unfiltered emotions and candid exchanges — from spontaneous laughs to intimate connections — to tell an entire story between two people and truly illustrate your cherished celebration through photography.
Setting you at ease
Establishing a genuine sense of trust and connection with you — whether as a reliable friend you can lean on or simply as an observer in the background capturing you being yourself, relaxed and celebrating candidly.
the Aesthetic
When editing, I strive to maintain the authenticity of the subject and allow the natural tones and colors to shine through. At the same time, I love to infuse a touch of moody drama, creating a dreamy and cinematic aesthetic.
Shooting across all of Colorado, Northern New Mexico and Southern Wyoming
“I’ve never had my photo taken before”
“How do I pose when getting my photo taken?”
“I’m super stiff and awkward with posing”
Don’t even trip — I got you and I totally get it. I’m not a huge fan of having my own photo taken, and ironically not sure how to pose myself. But let me put you at ease. The way I like to lead you through a portrait session is by shooting a mixture of posed and candid shots. What that means is I’ll direct you into a very simple position and then prompt you and your partner in a way to naturally create genuine laughs and authentic smiles — because it’s just you guys having fun together! I like to focus on movement-based poses (e.g. walking and running together, lifting, dipping, twirling etc.) that feel natural and look incredible in the final product. Remember, trying out absurd poses in a beautiful location might feel completely ridiculous, but that just makes for a good smile in front of the camera.

“Santana was AMAZING! Professional in communication before the wedding to make sure he understood all the shots we needed, showed up early on the day of the wedding to check out the location and pick the perfect spot for our reveal. Even when a groomsmen went missing, he helped us problem solve the pics that could be taken and took extra time after the wedding to get all our wedding party photographed. He went above and beyond to make our day special and stress free. Plus he did an AMAZING job making our diverse wedding party look their best in the finished pictures. 10 out of 10 recommend! Colorado Wedding March of 2024”

“Santana Garcia did an excellent job both in working with us during the lead-up to our wedding and capturing perfect moments during the wedding itself. He was able to help us refine our photography wishlist and how the photography would fit into the wedding timeline. On the day of the event, we refined our plan for the ceremony and peripheral events. He is very skilled at seeking out candid shots of everyone enjoying the moment. The ceremony pictures were gorgeous and truly captured how it felt. Santana is also very skilled at setting up couple's shots and not only captured us together but as a part of the beautiful landscape our wedding took place in. We highly recommend Santana Garcia for event photography, wedding or otherwise.”

“Santana did an absolutely fantastic job! The pictures turned out wonderful, but the best part was that he was extremely communicative and made sure he fully understood what we wanted and needed for the wedding. I would definitely recommend his service! Hes very charismatic and is great at setting people at ease to get great pictures.”

“Santana was amazing to work with! He was super nice, he listened to what we wanted and communicated well prior to our wedding so that he was fully prepared, he captured all of the most important moments and then some, and he even suggested some golden hour photos (which we hadn't planned on) and they turned out beautifully! We don't like the really bright editing style that is so popular right now with wedding photos, so when we found Santana's darker/moodier editing style (in addition to the obvious talent he has) we knew we wanted him for our wedding. Thank you, Santana, for capturing our day so incredibly!”

“Santana is an incredible photographer! He was so kind and easy to work with, we loved having him at our celebration. And the photos he took are amazing! He really captured the feel of our wedding. I will treasure the dance floor shots forever!”

“As for our photographer. Santana, he is the GOAT! If you want the best photos of your best day, then you want him. Our photos came out clear, realistic, vibrant, and warm - the man really has an eye like no one else. His timing is wickedly precise, too; he captured dozens of blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments for us. He's a true professional and his wizardry is outta this world. Thank you a million, SG!”

“Santana Garcia did such a wonderful job on our wedding day! He worked with us and got all the shots we wanted, and he had excellent communication. He was super funny and kept the situations light hearted, which helped a lot with some of the stressful emotions. We are so thankful we got to have him as a photographer!”
